Château Famaey

Château Famaey came into being in 2000 when two Flemish men, Luc Luyckx & Marc Van Antwerpen, bought vineyards outside of the medieval village of Puy-l’Évêque, in the Cahors region. Today Luc’s son Maarten handles the vinification. Although Argentine Malbec may have captured the attention of American consumers lately, the Lot Valley in southwestern France is Malbec’s ancestral home, and it is here where the grape achieves its purest expression. Wines of Château Famaey are grown without synthetic pesticides or fertilizers.
